Women Empowerment
Empowered women uplift entire communities. Our Women Empowerment Program promotes gender equality, economic independence, and leadership opportunities for women and girls. We provide skills training, small business support, awareness programs, and protection services. Our goal is to ensure women have the tools, confidence, and opportunities to participate fully in social and economic life.
When women are empowered, families and communities flourish.
Yet many women in Somalia and vulnerable communities in the UK face inequality, limited economic opportunities, and exposure to gender-based violence. Our Women Empowerment Program works to change these realities.
We provide skills training, literacy education, and vocational opportunities that enable women to generate income and support their families. From tailoring and food production to small business development, we help women achieve financial independence.
Access to savings groups and micro-grants allows women to start or expand businesses. These initiatives strengthen household income and promote long-term economic stability within communities.
We also address gender-based violence through awareness campaigns, survivor support services, and referral systems. Safe spaces and counselling services provide protection and healing for women at risk.
Leadership development is another key focus. We encourage women to participate in community decision-making, local governance, and peacebuilding activities, ensuring their voices are heard.
In the UK, we support migrant and refugee women through integration programs, language learning, and employment support. Our mission is to ensure that every woman has the opportunity to live with dignity, security, and equal opportunity.
