A safe home is essential for stability and dignity. Our Shelter Program supports families affected by displacement, poverty, and emergencies by providing temporary and long-term housing solutions. We construct and rehabilitate shelters, distribute essential household items, and assist vulnerable individuals in rebuilding their lives. Through shelter support, we help restore hope and security for those in crisis.
A safe and stable home is the foundation of human dignity.
Conflict, natural disasters, and poverty have left many families in Somalia without adequate shelter. In the UK, homelessness and housing insecurity continue to affect vulnerable populations. Our Shelter Program responds to these urgent needs.
We provide emergency shelter for families displaced by conflict or disaster. This includes temporary housing, tents, and essential household items such as blankets, cooking utensils, and sleeping mats.
Beyond emergency relief, we support the construction and rehabilitation of durable homes. Using locally available materials and community participation, we help families rebuild stronger, safer housing suited to their environment.
Special attention is given to women-headed households, people with disabilities, and the elderly, who often face additional barriers to securing shelter. Our programs ensure that assistance reaches those most at risk.
In the UK, we partner with local initiatives supporting refugees and vulnerable families in accessing housing advice, temporary accommodation, and integration support. Our goal is to reduce homelessness and promote stability.
