Child Protection

Every child deserves to grow up safe, loved, and protected.

Unfortunately, many children in Somalia and vulnerable communities in the UK face risks of abuse, exploitation, neglect, and harmful practices. Our Child Protection Program exists to safeguard their rights and well-being.
 
We establish child-friendly spaces where children can play, learn, and receive psychosocial support in safe environments. These spaces offer a sense of normalcy and healing for children affected by conflict, displacement, or trauma.
 
Working with families and communities, we raise awareness about children’s rights and positive parenting practices. We engage religious and community leaders to challenge harmful traditions and promote a culture of protection and care.
 
We also strengthen local child protection systems by training social workers, teachers, and community volunteers to identify and respond to cases of abuse and exploitation. Referral pathways ensure children receive appropriate medical, legal, and psychological support.
 
In the UK, we collaborate with partner organizations to support refugee and migrant children facing integration challenges, mental health concerns, or risk of social exclusion. We advocate for their safety, education, and inclusion.
 
Our commitment is to give every child a voice and a chance to thrive. When children are protected, they can grow into confident adults who build stronger, healthier societies.
